The film Four for Fun is already a ten out of ten for soap fans, as it features the talents of Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson, The Young and the Restless), Jacob Young (ex-Rick Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Lucky Spencer, General Hospital; ex-J.R. Chandler, All My Children), and Jason Cook (ex-Shawn-Douglas Brady, Days of our Lives; ex-Matt Hunter, GH).

What do you get when you mix three super talented soap opera stars, a film script, and a camera? A can't-miss bloody good time called Four for Fun.

The exciting project was written by Jason Cook (ex-Shawn-Douglas Brady, Days of our Lives; ex-Matt Hunter, General Hospital), who will also direct, and it serves as the first film production credit for daytime veteran Jacob Young (ex-Rick Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Lucky Spencer, General Hospital; ex-J.R. Chandler, All My Children).

Additionally, Four for Fun will star popular The Young and the Restless actress Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson), who shared on Instagram that everyone "had all the fun" filming the movie. "Can't wait to see this baby fly!" she enthused.

There's no information yet about the premise of Four for Fun, but Young shared on Instagram that a lot of blood, sweat, and tears have gone into turning Cook's script into a film that also stars Annika Foster and Donovan Patton. (And the emphasis is on blood, because Sarpy is covered in it for the teaser photo that Young and the actress shared, and it features in an additional behind-the-scenes photo that Young posted.)

"Producing a movie is no easy task," Young wrote. "Films like this are only possible when everyone's artistic passions are intact and on point. I have to say @brytni @annikafoster @probably_donovan_patton absolutely slayed it (no pun intended). Cast by the one and only @paulruddycasting ! So proud to act with such a talented cast. I'm also incredibly excited to call this the first full-length film I've produced on. We couldn't have done it without the incredible writing, directing, and relentless vision of Jason Cook! Here's to big things team! More to come!"

Jason Cook starred as General Hospital's Dr. Matt Hunter from 2008 to 2012 and Days of our Lives' Shawn-Douglas Brady from 1999 to 2006 and again in 2015. More recently, he has delved into the world of writing and directing films like State of Bacon and The Createss.

Jacob Young joined the soap opera world in 1997, when he took on the role of The Bold and the Beautiful's Rick Forrester, which he played until 1999. He went on to play General Hospital's Lucky from 2000 to 2003 (for which he won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2002), and then took on the All My Children character J.R. Chandler in 2003. When AMC was canceled in 2011, Young returned to the role of B&B's Rick. He was dropped to recurring status at the CBS soap opera in 2018 and has since been pursuing a music career and other acting roles. Some of his more recent projects include The Walking Dead, Killer Vacation, The Road Home for Christmas, yA, Beacon Hill, Angel, and Prepare for Launch. He also hosts his own mental health podcast called Real Conversations with Jacob Young.

Brytni Sarpy got her start in soaps with the role of GH's Valerie Spencer, which she landed in 2015 after having auditioned for the roles of Taylor DuBois (for which she was too old) and Jordan Ashford (for which she was too young). Unfortunately for her GH fans, the actress was dropped to recurring status with the ABC soap opera in 2016. Her next soap gig came in 2019, when she was cast on The Young and the Restless in the contract role of Elena Dawson. Some of her other credits include The Perfect Pitch and The Haves and the Have Nots.
