Judith Light names OLTL as greatest career highlight

Former One Life to Live star Judith Light (ex-Karen Wolek) says her role on the ABC soap opera changed her life.

Tony-winning actress Judith Light is known as one of Broadway's finest performers, and though she has a slew of stage credits, film appearances, and televisions roles under her belt, she recently named her six-year run as One Life to Live's Karen Wolek as one of her greatest career highlights.

Playing the Llanview prostitute beat out Dallas, Phenom, The Simple Life, Ugly Betty, Transparent, and even her beloved gig as Angela Bower on the classic 1980s series Who's The Boss as her role of a lifetime.

"When I came back to the theater in 1999, I did a play called Wit, and that really turned a lot of things around for me," she told Page Six of her most important career achievements. "As well as appearing on the soap opera One Life to Live in the late '70s. That changed my life."

It's been over three decades since Light appeared on OLTL, but she recently worked a gig that put her back in the soap orbit; she starred opposite The Young and the Restless' Miles Gaston Villanueva (ex-Luca Santori) and Al Pacino in the play God Looked Away.
