General Hospital fans can soon look forward to seeing Vinessa Antoine (ex-Jordan Ashford) on their screens again; Fox has picked up her Canadian legal drama, Diggstown.

Fans of General Hospital alum Vinessa Antoine (ex-Jordan Ashford) can start doing a little happy dance, because Fox has picked up seasons one and two of her series, Diggstown.

Deadline reports that the Canadian legal drama is the latest international scripted series the network has attained to help it fill airspace during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has slowed production of U.S. shows.

Diggstown stars Antoine as title character Marcie Diggstown, a corporate lawyer who reconsiders her priorities after her beloved aunt takes her own life following a malicious prosecution. She works with a team of lawyers who are a curious band of do-gooders, cynics, and scrappers -- messy souls struggling to keep personal disappointment and demons out of their practice. They work directly in the community to find justice for their diverse clients, exploring issues of racism, poverty, and gender bias.

As GH fans may recall, Antoine left the ABC soap opera in 2018 to take on her Diggstown role. Both the actress and her fans held out hope that she could simultaneously film the series and stay at GH, but the powers that be felt it was best to recast the role of Jordan, with Briana Nicole Henry taking on the role.

In addition to seeing Antoine in Diggstown, daytime fans can look forward to seeing other soap stars in guest-starring roles: both Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Parker Forsyth, GH) and Cassandra James (Terry Randolph, GH) have made appearances on the series.

Diggstown -- which also stars Natasha Henstridge, C. David Johnson, Stacey Farber, Brandon Oakes, Shailene Garnett, Tim Rozon, and Dwain Murphy -- has been renewed for a third season by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The series was previously made available to a global audience by the entertainment company eOne, which partnered with the series in 2018, and BET+, which began streaming the series in the summer of 2020.

What do you think about Fox bringing Antoine's Diggstown to a U.S. audience? How much do you miss seeing the actress in the role of GH's Jordan?
